If you’ve been anywhere near a pair of speakers during the last couple of months, you’ve heard the Gotye song “Somebody That I Used to Know.” Whether you like the song or not, there’s no question that radio stations have been doing their level best to make us hate it by playing it over and over and over and over and over and over again. But thankfully the talented folks over at Teddie Films have decided to make delicious lemonade out of these lemons by making a parody video entitled “The Star Wars That I Used to Know.”

This is quite likely the best thing you will see all week, and it poses the question: If fans were outraged over the changes to the Star Wars universe created by the prequels…think of how poor Darth Vader felt? He used to be an ominous, imposing, mysterious figure. And then he became a punch-worthy nine-year-old, followed by an incredibly annoying teenager. Why you gotta be so cruel, George?

And just for comparison’s sake, here’s the original Gotye video being skewered.

  1. Russ Tarvin says:

That was outstanding. The work that went into that is just amazing.

  2. Vanny says:

  3. Kate Coen says:

The Stars Wars version is even better than the original song/video. Good job!
