The Clone Wars

After 121 episodes and a theatrical movie, Star Wars: The Clone Wars has come to a close. The animated series provided fans with a closer look at the Jedi Knights and Jedi Council during the war between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Movement. Of course, The Clone Wars leads into the events of Revenge of the Sith, but the recently concluded animated series found an audience that didn’t necessarily grow up with the original trilogy or the prequel trilogy. Believe it or not, The Clone Wars is the pinnacle of the Star Wars universe for many younger fans.

Now that the complete Star Wars: The Clone Wars is available on Netflix Instant, Lucasfilm has revealed the proper way to watch all the episodes and the movie in chronological order. This will give viewers a better understanding of the continuing battle between good and evil, while also offering an excuse to rewatch the show in a different way.

It would be cool if Netflix gave viewers an option to watch The Clone Wars in chronological order, but the old-fashioned way of hopping back and forth will have to do. If you were really ambitious, you could try watch Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith along with The Clone Wars.

The Lucasfilm Story Group was founded to hammer out what is considered official canon in the Star Wars universe. It seems that, from now on, Lucasfilm is making a larger effort to make everything in the saga more consistent, in terms of the Expanded Universe. In fact, season six of The Clone Wars, also called “the Lost Missions,:” clears up the connections between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

The production team behind The Clone Wars, including producer Dave Falloni, has largely moved on to Lucasfilm’s new animated series, Star Wars: Rebels, which follows the beginnings of the Rebellion against the Empire. Rebels takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, and is expected to premiere as a feature film on the Disney Channel this summer before moving to Disney XD for the series itself beginning this October.
