The season finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be the end of an era. The animated series is moving from the Cartoon Network to Disney XD as part of the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm. It also marks the end of a five-episode arc where Anakin Skywalker’s padawan, Ahsoka Tano, is on the run from Jedi officials for suspicion of murder. Watch the clip of Ahsoka Tano’s trial below.

The last few episodes have been a bit of a film noir detective story set within the Star Wars universe. The episodes’ titles have referenced classic film noir movies, including “Sabotage,” “The Jedi Who Knew Too Much,” and “To Catch a Jedi.” The season finale is titled “The Wrong Jedi,” which is a nod to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1956 film The Wrong Man.

As the prosecution begins for Ahsoka in the Jedi High Courts, Anakin investigates the truth behind the assassination of Letta Turmond. Skywalker suspects Dathomirian Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress is behind the plot and Ahsoka Tano’s framing. Watch the clip of Anakin Skywalker confronting Asajj Ventress below.

It seems like there may be only one or two seasons left in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. With the loss of his mother and now his ties to his padawan, the writers are really setting Anakin Skywalker’s character up to be too emotionally attached to be a successful Jedi Master. It’s only a matter of time before Star Wars: The Clone Wars lines up with Revenge of the Sith, where Anakin Skywalker completely turns to the Dark Side to become the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The season finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars — “The Wrong Jedi” — will air on Saturday morning, March 2nd, on the Cartoon Network at 9:30AM EST/PST.
