You may recall that Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes turned up in an unexpected place this past summer: in movie theaters. To help promote TNG’s long-awaited Blu-ray release, CBS Home Entertainment and Fathom Events partnered for a one-night-only showing of the “Encounter at Farpoint” pilot episode and two other episodes, “Where No One Has Gone Before” and “Datalore.” Obviously the event was a success, because now they’re doing the same thing for the upcoming Blu-ray set of Star Trek: The Next Generation – Season 2.

The Season 2 event will unfold on Thursday night, November 29th, at 7 p.m. local time, presented by CBS Home Entertainment and IGN. You’ll get two episodes for your ticket money this time: “The Measure of a Man” and “Q Who?” Even better, “Measure” will be the never-before-seen extended cut of the episode, which will include 12 minutes of footage originally left on the cutting-room floor. The event will also showcase a preview of some of the Blu-ray set’s bonus features, including a cast reunion, a documentary and an unseen outtakes/bloopers reel.

You can find out which theaters will be hosting the event and pick up tickets for Star Trek: The Next Generation – A Celebration of Season 2 at the Fathom Events webpage. If you can’t make it or it isn’t playing near you, fear not: the Blu-ray set is releasing on December 4th, so you won’t have long to wait before you can see it all for yourself.

You can pre-order Star Trek: The Next Generation – Season 2 from Amazon right here.
