This next one is very brief, showing Thomas Harewood — the character played by Doctor Who’s Noel Clarke — calling Admiral Marcus to send him a message from John Harrison, right before destroying the Section 31 facility in London. In the final film, Marcus receives a text transmission, not the video that was intended to be in this sequence.
Here’s another small but significant change. In the final version of Into Darkness, Spock sees Pike get shot and is witness to his death. In this version Kirk actually sees him get blasted and tries to help before ordering Spock to take care of him and running off to try and stop Harrison from continuing to blast the shit out of everything.
