William Shatner turned 82 years old last Friday, an event marked by countless people around the world suddenly…enunciating…every…word. If you weren’t invited to the Shat’s huge blow-out at the Vulcan Hilton, fear not! You can still sit back and appreciate the talents of the man who was Kirk, and even better, we all get a present even though it was his birthday. In honor of Shatner’s continued survival, Hulu has made every episode of all five Trek series available for free through the end of the month.

That’s right: You can stream every single episode of Star Trek, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise for free via Hulu. (Or you could just pretend those last two didn’t happen.) The only thing missing is the Animated Series, but you’ve got enough on your plate if you plan to burn through all five series in the next seven days. Yeah, that’s the fine print: the episodes are only free through March 31st. If you job description involves “sitting on couch in mom’s basement” you might be able to get through all of it, but for the folks with families and/or jobs, this at least a chance to revisit your favorite episodes.

If you don’t have much time for a Trek marathon, you can pay the monthly fee for Hulu Plus and watch at your leisure, and the various Trek series are also available on Netflix and Amazon Instant Video. If nothing else, it’s an excuse for long-time Trek fans not in love with Abrams’ reboot to revisit the classic universe they love.
