The concept behind Storage 24 is simple, and has been done before, but if handled right, it could be an effective set-up for a sci-fi horror jaunt. Combine a giant monster, a group of survivors, and a constricted environment, and you’ve got the potential for a nice, tight little thrill ride. This short new clip from Johannes Roberts’ (Forrest of the Damned) film showcases all three of these elements.

There is a very Alien or Predator vibe going on in this clip. This is a moment you’ve seen before: one of the heroes comes face to face with the big, gooey monster that just happens to be holding them up by the face, pressing them against the wall. You have to admit, it’s a bold move to shank a 10-foot-tall alien killing machine, so you have to give credit to British actress Antonia Campbell-Hughes for thinking on her feet. Or off her feet, as the case may be.

In Storage 24, a military transport plane crashes in the heart of London, unleashing its secret stash upon the city. All of this happens unbeknownst to Charlie (Noel Clarke) and Shelley (Campbell-Hughes), who are at their shared storage unit, dividing the contents after a harsh breakup. Attended by their dutiful friends, Mark (Colin O’Donoghue) and Nikki (Laura Haddock), things take a turn for the worse when the aforementioned alien shows up and starts hunting them through the locked-down corridors of Storage 24.

Storage 24 is now available on iTunes, Amazon, and On Demand, and it will get a theatrical release starting January 11th.
