RIP Stan Winston
Special effects god Stan Winston died over the weekend. He was 62.
If you don’t know his name, you know his work. He was an innovator in the special effects world, and in the 80s and 90s was responsible for just about every cool thing you saw on screen. He was best known for his effects work in movies like Termiantor, Jurassic Park, and Edward Scissorhands. More recently he even had a hand in Iron Man.
He may have worked behind the scenes, but Stan Winston was a big part of the science fiction movies you love. Sci Fi won’t look the same without him.
