Revolution’s pilot episode takes place 15 years after the events of a mysterious global blackout. After humanity makes the transition to live in a world without electricity, a family goes on a long journey across the country to find the truth behind who turned out the lights.
Revolution’s season premiere was directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Cowboys & Aliens), produced by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias), and created/written by Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and also features actors Ken Arnold, Billy Burke, Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Guinee, Tracy Spiridakos, and Elizabeth Mitchell.
Recently, NBC announced the winners of their Revolution Facebook poll for a September 6th advanced screening. The winning cities includes New York City, Denver, Chicago, Salt Lake City, and Philadelphia. The New York City screening will happen earlier on September 4th and will take place at a Hudson River pier. As part of the promotion, the power will be shut off during the screening (in the spirit of Revolution), leaving the audio and projection to be run off generators powered by 100 bicyclists.
Revolution’s season premiere will air on September 17th at 10/9c on NBC.
