Resident Evil: Retribution Teaser Trailer Revealed

The teaser trailer for the fifth installment of the Resident Evil movie franchise, Resident Evil: Retribution debuted during a live event at the Regal Union Square in New York City. Milla Jovovich was on-hand at the event to field questions from the many ravenous Resident Evil fanatics before the trailer premiered at this event. Here’s the new trailer…

It starts off with a “what if…” scenario, showing Alice (Milla Jovovich) living a happy, normal life with a very loving husband and a very cute daughter. But as we soon find out, this isn’t reality. A small group of zombie-crazed infected monsters rush into the suburban home to claim the lives of the people inside. We then find out, there is more to this story than what is on the surface. The evil Umbrella Corporation is back to take over the world.

On the trailer itself, Jovovich assured Resident Evil fans…

“There’s so much stuff that’s not even in the trailer, that’s so amazing…There’s so much crazy stuff that’s not in the trailer, just because it’s not ready yet!…The really amazing thing in this movie is how global it is…because it really takes place around the world—including New York. So I think what really stands out is the global scope of it.”

Jovovich also teased the possibilities of a sixth film in the Resident Evil series where she will return as her character Alice along with the writer/director of the series, her husband Paul W.S. Anderson.

Resident Evil: Retribution will open on September 14th in 3D. Check out these deadly new images and poster from Resident Evil: Retribution.
