Proposing With Portal 2
Portal 2 is a truly magnificent gaming experience. Gary Hudston certainly thinks so, and hired a level-developer to help him propose to his girlfriend Stephanie via an original stage for the game. Aside from the heartwarming and sweet idea, there’re also some solid puzzles put together. I’m assuming Stephanie is a gamer too, otherwise the proposal would have been 30 minutes of Gary getting frustrated as she couldn’t figure out how to “fire the doorway gun thingy.”
Valve heard about the secret project and allowed Ellen McLain, the voice of GLaDOS, to record audio for the proposal. What came out in the end is a really sweet geek moment, and even though the video below shows the puzzle being ran through instead of solved it’s still a pretty nifty Portal 2 level.
Now you can play through the level too, as Valve made it available after Stephanie got the exclusive first play.
