We’re going to go ahead and assume that your Sunday is not as awesome or ridiculous as it could be, and we’re going to do what we can to help you out in that regard. To this end we’ve got your first look at Juancho Otalvaro’s Territorial Pissings, which is a wild, untamed throwback to the crazy, post-apocalyptic cult faves of the 1980s. Check out this first trailer and a collection of stills from what is sure to be an insane time, that, if you’re into a certain style of cinematic exploitation, you’re totally going to dig.

If you’ve ever encountered bizarre 1987 schlock fest Surf Nazis Must Die (one of the leads is most recognizable as the face of a series of laxative commercials in the 1990s), then Territorial Pissings may seem a bit familiar. There’s a similar Mad Max meets Point Break vibe, even down to the pulsing synth score and the font they use, and we’re more than okay with that. We ran across this over at Twitch, and we couldn’t be more delighted to fill our weekend, and hopefully yours, with some ludicrous sleaze of a variety you don’t often run across anymore.

Territorial PissingsHere’s the official synopsis:

Sometime during the 1980s a storm began, and for 50 years it did not stop. Now, survivors struggle to thrive in a wild world with most of the past below sea. Surf has become the ultimate rush throughout the known territories. The surf leader of The Squids, Tom Mix, finds his community threatened by the Piranha surf gang after one of his partners gets kidnapped. Surf battling and dirt road motorbike slaughter will not only gush out blood, but uncover the secrets this new world holds.

Yeah, this sounds like just what we were in the mood for today.

Miguel Alejandro Gomez, who directed movies like El Fin, Italia 90, and El Sanatoria, is producing, and while the team started the preproduction process back in May, they haven’t yet started principal photography. Though they did whip up this teaser to give you a sense of what they’re going for aesthetically and tonally. And again, it looks damn near perfect. We don’t have any more details that these, but you can bet your ass we’ll be keeping a close eye on this. Lets all hope it comes together.

Territorial PissingsTerritorial Pissings falls in a similar category as films like Manborg and The FP, a conscious throwback to a cheap, campy style that you stumbled across at your local video store on a warped VHS tape. It’s the kind of thing where you saw the box and immediately stopped to pick it up, asking yourself, “What the hell is this?” It’s a kind of nostalgia we can appreciate, and we can only hope the movie lives up to the potential we see here.

And if the trailer isn’t enough, here are some stills that should more than tide you over for the time being. Enjoy. Check out the WEBSITE and FACEBOOK page for more info.
