As production marches on with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, location photos have leaked revealing the other Districts in Panem, namely District 11. In the first Hunger Games film, we didn’t get to see much of the other Districts, so it’s good that we’re going to get a deeper look at this post-apocalyptic world in the sequel. Check out District 11 below…

The shots are courtesy io9.com, and show us District 11, where citizens starve while they grow food for the Capital. Residents are severely punished if they are caught stealing. The imagery of District 11 is haunting and very reminiscent of an old southern plantation during the Civil War. The guards in white armor are the Peacekeepers, and are there watching over the workers.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire sees Katniss and Peeta returning to the road as they go on a Victory Tour of Panem. It’s going to be really exciting to see the other Districts in the sequel, since the first film was mostly contained to District 12 and the Capital.

Last week, location photos of the Third Quarter Quell, or 75th Hunger Games, arena were leaked. They revealed an underwater battle with harpoons, spears, and bows and arrows. The photos also featured Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Sam Claflin as tributes Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, and Finnick Odair, all wearing battle-ready black and grey wetsuits. Josh Hutcherson also revealed that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will feature native IMAX photography for all of the arena scenes including the underwater sequence.

We’ll have to wait a whole year before we get to watch The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in theaters on November 22, 2013 but it’s quickly starting to look like the must-see movie of the Fall season.
