Latest Promo For Raising Hope’s Back To The Future Episode

While Fox’s white trash sitcom Raising Hope might not always be at the forefront of our thoughts, when they pull a Back to the Future themed episode out of their ass, we sit up and take notice. Tomorrow, January 8th, the show is doing just that, and will have Chrisopher Lloyd along for the ride (in a DeLorean, naturally). Here is the latest promo for the episode, “Credit Where Credit is Due.”
In this nostalgic look at Back to the Future Christopher Lloyd plays a slimy loan collector named Dennis Powers. When Jimmy Chance (Lucas Neff) and his lady friend, Sabrina (Shannon Woodward), look into buying a new car on credit, Powers shows up to collect a forgotten outstanding debt. It looks like the DeLorean comes into play when Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and Burt (Garret Dillahunt) ignore their own financial woes and buy a DeLorean for themselves.
There also appears to be a running gag about giving their house “DeLorean doors,” so there’s that to look forward to. And you can rest assured that there will be many, many references to getting the car up to 88 mph, and, I would assume, the car breaking down and bursting into flames just before they hit that mark.
Admittedly, I don’t know much about Raising Hope. I made an attempt to watch it when it first aired, but it wasn’t my particular cup of tea. Still, you have to enjoy the fact that Back to the Future is getting so much love (let’s hope we don’t start hearing rumors of a reboot, or a part four), and this might be a good time, if you’re into that sort of thing.
