New KILLJOYs Clip – Meet The Space Bounty Hunter Brothers
Knowing that Michelle Lovretta, creator of Syfy’s Lost Girl, is the force behind the new Killjoys show has got me really pumped about this week’s premiere. I know that I mentioned that last week, and I was also looking forward to Dark Matter (which I didn’t like all that much). But the new clip from Killjoys has me even more excited for this new show. Have you seen the clip below?
In this new clip, we see brothers D’avin (Luke Macfarlane) and John (Aaron Ashmore) being reunited under less than friendly circumstances. Click here to view the clip in widescreen or watch it below.
As you can see, it is just a short teaser clip, but hey – we get to see the full episode tomorrow night! Until then, check out what the creator had to say about these two characters below.
D’Avin’s character and Dutch’s character have separate backstories that become a serialized arc. D’Avin is trying to figure out some dark things that happened in his past and Dutch is trying to figure out how some things from her past have caught up to her again. That’s their individualized arc but then we have a political arc that’s playing out as well. We have two entities in the Quad that are sort of fighting over it politically. One is called The Company and The Company owns the main moon that they’re working on and is sort of the mega cooperation and the entity that Killjoys work for is called the Rack. The Company often hires the Rack to do its dirty work. And increasingly, over this season, there starts to become a little bit of a power play between them and that will progress as well over future seasons. In the middle of all of that, there is a class story and a political fight that is happening between the main planet, which is affluent, and the two moons that they’ve moved their populations towards. So it’s a political struggle that’s starting as well. Read more at IGN.
