Jurassic WorldWe won’t see the entirety of Jurassic World until next summer, but we might see pieces of it before too awful long. The film didn’t show up at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con in any meaningful way, and with a June 12, 2015 release date scheduled, it will miss it next time around, too. But, according to scuttlebutt around the Internet, a trailer has been test screening, so it’s possible we could see something in relatively short order.

Trailers, just like the movies they advertise, usually go through multiple rough cuts and even often undergo focus group testing. Fan site JurassicWorld.org reports that one fan named Ivan Flores claims to have been a part of such an endeavor recently at a Regal Cinema. This is the Internet, of course, so it could totally be BS, but the video Flores posted where he summarized what he saw was removed at the request of NBC/Universal, so maybe, just maybe there’s some truth to this. And lucky for us, enough people saw this video that there are many accounts floating around out there.

What we know of the plot of Jurassic World sees John Hammond‘s ill-fated dream park of the franchise finally become a reality, and according to reports, the trailer features much of this. There are tourists and sunburns, and, as you most likely anticipated, things are bound to go very, very wrong. There are deadly amphibious creatures, not to mention raptors, but the raptors are apparently good guys this time around, which is weird. Descriptions also include Great White sharks getting fed to dinosaurs, which just seems mean, and human star Chris Pratt getting ready to jump into action when the shit hits the fan. All in all, this trailer, and the movie, sounds like a rather exciting time, and in line with Jurassic Park as a franchise.

Jurassic WorldFrom the descriptions, it’s hard to tell if this sounds more like a full on trailer or like something of a teaser. It could go either way. As we’re still eight months out, it feels more likely that this is something shorter and less in depth. We’ve heard rumors that the first look at Jurassic World could be attached to Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar when it opens next month—both are produced by Legendary Pictures—so maybe this is a quick glimpse at a rough cut of what we could see then. But Flores’ discussion does sound bigger than just a teaser, so perhaps they’re workshopping a full trailer that we’ll see closer to the actual release date. Then again, there’s a fine line between what people call a teaser and what people call a trailer these days, so who the hell knows.

Jurassic World stars Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Jake Johnson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, and Irrfan Khan. While we won’t see this until next June, Interstellar opens in select theaters on November 5 and everywhere on November 7.
