Jurassic Park Meets Star Wars For This Mash-Up Trailer

We recently had my wife’s colleagues come down for the weekend, as they’d never experienced Cajun country, and I’d never met them in person before. It was a fun weekend of brewery tours and restaurant frequenting, and I’ll never…wait, you say this isn’t my personal blog and you haven’t seen this mash-up trailer yet? What the fuck are we doing then?

Did the world need a trailer that combines Star Wars visuals with the audio from the Jurassic Park trailer? I can’t get a positive reply to that, but there’s no denying that it is a trailer that does exactly what it sets out to do: mash up the audio from…well, you get it. Watch the One Minute Galactica-edited video below, entitled “Jurat-at Park,” and wonder why your own life doesn’t make as much sense as outlawing the cloning of Ewoks.

I always give credit to these mash-up editors for their lip syncs, or “lyp sincs” as I like to call them, and there’s a lot of that here. It doesn’t make me want to watch either of the original films so much as it creates further anticipation for J.J. Abrams’ Episode VII, and on a lesser note, Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic Park 4. Cross this one off your mash-up checklist, if it’s even still there. The Internet is pretty vast, as is the dinosaur-laden universe.
