There seems to be a great debate about who is going to play Drax the Dextroyer in Marvel’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation. It was widely reported that Game of Thrones and Conan star Jason Momoa had turned down the part, but the latest reports have him still in the running to join the cast.

According to the Latino Review, who have been all over this from the word go, many of the studio execs want Momoa, who is reportedly holding out for more money like a football player at training camp. While one faction is sold on Momoa, the other side is all-in behind former professional wrestler Dave Bautista.

A giant hulk of a man, Bautista, who is also a budding MMA fighter, is definitely a physical match for the role of Drax. Then again, so is Momoa, who is probably the better actor of the two. Bautista has a role as a mercenary in the upcoming Riddick, while Momoa was most recently seen fighting Sylvester Stallone with a fire axe in Walter Hill’s Bullet to the Head. LR speculates that if Marvel can’t land either of these big fish, they’ll most likely go with an unknown quantity.

This same update also notes that journeyman actor Kevin Durand may be up for a part in Guardians of the Galaxy as well, though which part remains a mystery. Durand has appeared in everything from Lost and Big Momma’s House 2 to Resident Evil: Retribution and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He’s a sizable dude—though nowhere near as jacked up as Momoa or Bautista—so do you think he could also be up for Drax? He has a lot of experience with roles that require heavy makeup and prosthetics—he did play Joshua, the dog/man hybrid in Dark Angel—though odds are he’s up for another role.

Who would you like to see play Drax? Momoa, Bautista, or some as yet unnamed third party? What about Durand? Rocket Raccoon maybe?
