One of the biggest reasons to be excited about the upcoming apocalyptic comedy This Is the End is getting to see Emma Watson, playing a version of herself, getting all crazy and wielding a fire axe. We’ve already seen her getting nuts and hijacking supplies from the movie’s heroes, and in this latest clip we get an expanded view of her part in the story.

Watson, frazzled, frayed around the edges, and generally mussed up, tells James Franco, Seth Rogan, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, Jay Baruchel, and Danny McBride how she survived multiple days out on the street on her own. She hid in a sewer. At this point in the movie, the core group hasn’t ventured beyond the safe confines of Franco’s crib—where they were in the midst of an epic, star-studded party before the world ended—and are hungry for news.

From what we’ve seen, the destruction in This Is the End could be caused by many things. Some clips have what appear to be monsters or aliens, but from the walls of fire taking over Los Angeles, you could also argue some other cataclysmic event, like a volcano or massive earthquake. Watson, for her part, has another theory. She’s calling zombie outbreak. McBride agrees and seems pretty stoked at the idea. You can’t help but wonder if they have some sort of pool going as to what finally destroyed the world. Perhaps he just won a bunch of money, assuming money still has any value.

Also, just because the world has burst into flames, that doesn’t mean these dudes aren’t going to miss an opportunity to hit on Hermione.

I’m really curious to see This Is the End. It looks funny as hell, but it’ll be interesting to see if there’s an entire movie here. From the outside, this looks like an extended sketch, and you can’t help but suspect it’s going to wear thin eventually. Then again, the concept is solid, and the cast is composed of hilarious folks, so the ceiling is rather high.

This Is the End destroys the world on June 12th.
