Ok, I’m confused about the tone of these discusions. This is set 15 years AFTER the electricity is turned off. The mayhem is likely over people. At 15 years, this means society is evolving and humanity is continuing in differing circumstances. This means hope to me not end of humanity. Also, I’m guessing mass production of bullets stopped as well. What’s easier to use, arrows that you can retrieve or one use only bullets? Zombies and Aliens are continuing threats. No electricity? Not so much. I’m sure their are old style outlaws but that is a different scale of destruction all together. I’ll take a look at this show when it comes out.

it seems to be the most recurring thing in sci-fi these days… its always dark and gritty, with doom and death or some odd drama sci-fi where no-one smiles. can anybody name a sci-fi story that wasnt dystopic or overly dramatic? recent? quickly off the top of your head…

You’d think gun powder would work, but everyone in the pictures above is carrying a crossbow or a longbow, so apparently not. No idea how they’d explain it though, given the premise.

Yup, Dies the fire it is. The difference is that Gun powder, steam engine and such probably still work in Revolution. But I think the Dies the Fire world would have made a much better series. :/
