Create Your Own Star Wars Identity In A New Museum Exhibit

Have you ever wondered who you would be in the Star Wars universe? Now a new exhibit at the Telus World of Science in Edmonton, Canada has partnered up with the Montreal Science Centre and Lucasfilm to give patrons the opportunity to pick their own Star Wars identity based on their personality traits. The exhibit also provides a look at rare Star Wars concept art, props, and costumes from the Lucasfilm archive.
According to Wired, the Star Wars Identities exhibit walks science center visitors through a 10-part psych evaluation. It underlines their species, genes, parents, culture, mentors, friends, events, occupation, personality, and values in the Star Wars universe, all in an interactive way. Science center visitors receive a special RFID bracelet that can track their activities and Star Wars identity data throughout the exhibit.
There are also elements in the exhibit that are placed at random. For example, Jabba the Hutt may kidnap you and hold you for ransom. According to Sophie Desbiens of X3 Productions, the company that designed the Star Wars exhibit, “Your marking event might be, ‘Oh, I was chained to Jabba the Hutt for a year,’ and stuff like that. Just like in life, you don’t get to choose everything that happens to you.”
The Star Wars Identities exhibit also highlights beloved characters from the Star Wars universe, including Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, and Boba Fett. Each character has their own interactive profile and category. Check out exclusive artwork from the exhibit below.
The central theme of the Star Wars Identities exhibit is to pinpoint a character’s journey through the Star Wars universe. While from the same bloodline, the exhibit wants to examine why did Anakin and Luke Skywalker had completely different journeys.
