What scientific technology from the show would you like to see developed in the real world?
For me, a time travel device would be awesome, but the implications would be scary. I love her super suit, and the multi-tool. Those are two things I’d grab up instantly because there wouldn’t be any global repercussions — I’d just use everything myself. Especially the invisibility cloaking — that’d be great. There’s a company here in British Columbia called Hyperstealth, and they’ve actually invented invisibility fabric. So a lot of the stuff we have isn’t just imagined; someone read a Popular Science magazine six months ago and put that into our show.

At this point, given the multiple timelines and the fact that so much in the present and past has changed, is it even possible for her to get back to her husband and kid? Are they even still out there?
That’s the question, and a very difficult question to answer. We know things change so much. We’ll see how they address that at the end of the show, if we get to that point — what future is she going back to? Maybe her son was never born. Maybe there’s no more corporate congress and people are free. Maybe the world’s been completely destroyed by a civil war. I think it can go a million different ways, but the interesting thing will be to see the how they support the storyline they choose — that’s what I’m really excited about.

Can you give us any hints about what to expect as season 3 wraps up?
They shake things up a lot. They explore the idea of the multiple timelines more, and of the changing of the future and its repercussions. There are some very interesting characters introduced, and possibly some that may leave the show. I don’t want to be any more specific, because that would ruin it for people. Some people love spoilers and some people completely despise them, so I’m going to walk the line between the two.

Are there any projects on the horizon for you?
I’ve got two movies coming out out fall: The Scorpion King: The Lost Throne and an action movie called A Good Man. I’m shooting a sci-fi distaster movie right now — the name has yet to be decided.

So you’re sticking to the sci-fi realm?
I love the sci-fi realm so much. It’s always really interesting and being a big kid inside, I love living in that world of vivid imagination. It’s a genre that’s been really good to me, and I love the fans. Anything else I have going on I post on Twitter — information, fun stories, set pictures, things like that.

Continuum airs Friday nights at 10/9c on Syfy.
