Conan O’Brien Planning A New Alien Comedy Called Zone Lord

Conan and sci-fi go together like… well, do they even go together? O’Brien’s production company have gotten two new shows slated for TBS in the near future: a golf comedy and Zone Lord, an alien comedy in which three roommates find out that “an evil but very hip alien has moved into their building, along with his diminutive navigator.”
So pretty much New Girl, if Zooey Deschanel were an alien. Which, put like that, doesn’t seem like such a far-fetched idea anymore. Real creative. And to make matters worse, this is coming from the guy who thinks aliens enjoy Beat poetry.
Looks like Conan means to branch out after the whole Tonight Show and NBC debacle, to demonstrate that he’s moved on. Take that, NBC. Looks like you lost not only Conan’s beard and awkward tabletop dancing, but also the next best alien show to hit T.V. since Invasion. Bet you’re feeling pretty sorry now.
