EurekaI imagine the Doctor would feel right at home in the town of Eureka. The eccentric town from the Syfy series of the same name was full of crazy people and geniuses, and some who counted as both. But for a town that’s supposed to be a haven for the brilliant, they sure did wind up in world-threatening pickles an awful lot, and that sort of thing is right up the Doctor’s alley. Sadly, Eureka was canceled in 2012, so a Who/Eureka crossover is impossible (if only the Doctor had a means of traveling through time…) But if you’d like to make your own crossover from the comfort of your living room, Amazon has got both the complete Eureka set and some classic Doctor Who on sale cheap today.

Amazon has Eureka: The Complete Series, which bundles together all five seasons of the show, going for $66.99 today, which is 63% off the list price. The bundle collects all seven previously released Eureka sets (they split the third and fourth seasons in two), as well as the associated bonus features. With the series totally 77 episodes, that’s less than a buck an episode, which is a damn good deal, especially with the generous bonus features factored in. Now, if you’re only interested in the show itself, you can stream Eureka on both Netflix Instant and Amazon Prime. If you’re a superfan who wants to really dig into the making of the show, however, the DVD is a good choice. You can check out the details on the bonus features below.

Mutants

On the Who front, there are two classic Doctor adventures on sale for a less than twenty bucks. You can get The Mutants, which first aired in 1972 as part of classic Who’s ninth season, for $15.49 (56% off list price). It includes an audio commentary and a couple of featurettes.

When the strange message pod turns up at UNIT HQ, the Doctor and his assistant Jo suddenly involved in another dangerous mission for the Time Lords. The TARDIS takes them to Skybase One above the inhospitable Solos. It is the 30th century and the planet is about to gain independence from Earth’s glorious empire. But someone on Solos has other plans and, alarmingly, the natives are slowly evolving into fierce-looking creatures. It’s time for the Doctor and Jo to find out why.

Beneath

Beneath the Surface actually collects adventures from two different Doctors, the Second and the Fifth. The three episodes here all involve the reptilian Silurians, and their aquatic cousins the Sea Devils. Beneath the Surface is going for $17.99 on Amazon, 64% off list. Sadly, however, there are no bonus features listed on this one.

All three classic battles with the Silurians and the Sea Devils! Doctor Who and the Silurians: Exiled to Earth and now working for UNIT as their scientific advisor, the Doctor is summoned to an underground research center at Wenley Moor to investigate a series of inexplicable power losses. Initially suspecting sabotage, he soon discovers that the nearby cave system conceals a colony of an ancient race called the Silurians. Awaking from a hibernation which has lasted millions of years, they are now planning to reclaim the Earth from humankind. The Sea Devils Arrested: After the events at Devils End, the Master has been incarcerated at a top security prison on a remote island off the south coast of England. When the Doctor and Jo Grant pay a visit to their old enemy, they find him a reformed character. But can the spate of mysterious shipping accidents and garbled reports of sea monsters in the local area really be a coincidence? The Doctor soon finds himself pitted against the Sea Devils, an ancient race of reptile intent on eliminating humankind and reclaiming the Earth for themselves. Warriors of the Deep Earth, 2084: Two global superpowers hover on the brink of war. When the TARDIS is forced to make an unplanned visit to Sea Base Four, the Doctor, Tegan and Turlough find themselves accused of being enemy agents. Quickly embroiled in a deadly game of paranoid intrigue, it becomes clear that others on the base have sabotage and murder in mind. However, there is a greater threat to humankind: the Silurians and Sea Devils, prehistoric reptiles seeking to reclaim the Earth. Can the Doctor prevent them from implementing their ‘final solution’ and triggering a war that could wipe out the entire human race?
