It’s got the prison ship setting of Alien 3 mixed in with elements of Dead Space and Pandorum. From the preview pages below, via BleedingCool, it looks as if the story starts as the murderous rampage is happening, so I’m guessing the dialogue will slowly start to drop out of the pages as things get more atmospheric and spooky.

Take a gander at the first few pages of Void below, where the color blue is put to work like never before.

Looks good to me, as it sets up not only a lunatic antagonist, but also other characters that we may meet again. The comic world doesn’t utilize spaceships nearly as often as it should, so I can’t wait to see what Void has to offer. I’m not at all familiar with Hanna, who is best known for the series Bad Ass and Operation: Broken Wings, 1936, so I have no idea what kind of narratives he likes to tell. But I’m obviously a fan of Phillips, who has also put in time on series like Judge Dredd, Hellblazer, and Marvel Zombies, so his involvement makes this a definite project to look out for.

You can start looking in September, when Void hits stores everywhere.
