SagaSpotlight on Brian K. Vaughan (2:00pm – 3:00pm, Room 25ABC)
Brian K. Vaughan is one of the best damn writers in comics, and he also…er, wrote for Under the Dome last season. Everybody has their rough patches, though, so that’s easily forgotten in light of a resume that includes hugely entertaining comic series such as Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, and Saga. He’ll be answering questions about “writing, Image Comics, his time in the Hollywood trenches, gin, his new pay-what-you-want digital comics initiative PanelSyndicate.com, money, and just about anything else YOU feel like asking.” Seriously though, ask him what the hell was up with Under the Dome.

Tarzan, John Carter of Mars, and Edgar Rice Burroughs: What’s New? (10:30am – 11:30am, Room 8)
Find out what’s new for Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic characters across the multimedia landscape. Dynamite Comics has been spinning tales of Burroughs’ Mars — or Barsoom, if you prefer — for quite a while now, and they’re about to launch a new John Carter: Warlord of Mars series, so Dynamite senior editor Joe Rybandt will be on hand with the details. There’s also a big-screen Tarzan movie due from Warner Bros. in 2016, with True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard as the King of the Apes. I have just one question: where’s the love for Carson Napier of Venus?
