It has been almost 10 years since the TV series Firefly made its debut on September 20th 2002 on Fox. While the series was short-lived, only 11 of its 14 episodes aired, Firefly continues to live in the hearts and minds of sci-fi geeks around the world. To commemorate Firefly’s 10-year anniversary, artist Jeff Halsey created a minimalist lithograph of Serenity and her Captain’s words of wisdom. Check it out:

Jeff Halsey is a graphic designer from Fresno, California who created the print after he watched the TV series and realized its 10-year anniversary was coming up. “[Firefly] taps into the themes of freedom and creating a family that really resonate with me,” says Halsey. “The show may have been short-lived, but the ‘Verse will live on. I feel this poster is a reminder of that feeling and is a love letter to my favorite show.”

The cast and crew of Firefly including the series creator Joss Whedon, and actors Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Morena Baccarin, and Summer Glau went on to find success in Hollywood after the series was canceled in 2003. Last month at San Diego Comic Con, the cast reunited for a special 10-year reunion panel, which aired on the Science Channel.

Jeff Halsey’s Firefly print is available on QMX and is the perfect tribute to Browncoats and outlaws across the ‘Verse.
