project xVirgil (Project X)
If you see Matthew Broderick’s young face up there and still think we’re talking about the crap-ass 2012 found-footage comedy Project X, then you deserve to get radiation poisoning. Say, that’s exactly what was happening to the monkeys in the film, who were being used in a secret military research program. But not Virgil, who found friends in Broderick and Helen Hunt, who teamed up to save his life and expose the government for the very, very rare mistake that it made. This movie was pretty great despite all odds, and didn’t let its terrible-sounding plotline hold it back. Never underestimate Broderick in the 1980s.
