With the release of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure on Blu-ray, Twentieth Century Fox created a pretty handy infographic timeline to go along with the release. While informative, the timeline is split up into two parts, the excellent timeline and the bogus timeline. Click the image below for the embiggened version:

The excellent timeline follows the pair’s good times while traveling through time. The bogus timeline showcases the bad ones they encountered while collecting historical figures for their high school history oral presentation. Hopefully Twentieth Century Fox will put together the same Blu-ray and infographic treatment for the film’s sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. Since there is very little time travel in Bogus Journey, maybe the infographic will highlight the various levels of heaven and hell.

The third film in the Bill & Ted franchise has been in development since the release of Bogus Journey in 1991. The film’s stars, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, have both expressed interest in returning to the franchise that made them (or at least one of them, a) Hollywood superstar. It was rumored actor William Sandler would reprise his role as the Grim Reaper in Bill & Ted 3, and there’s also been talk of a cameo from Eddie Van Halen, and the return of Socrates and Billy the Kid.

Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot was once attached to the project, but after production delays the film was pushed back to 2014. Parisot has since agreed to direct the upcoming Red sequel.

The third film’s story was also rumored to surround an older Bill & Ted trying to write the greatest song of all-time but then another version of Bill & Ted pay them a visit and are disappointed they haven’t written the song yet. This rumored storyline would be perfect for a Bill & Ted sequel film. It feels just as absurd as the first two films.
