Friday has always been a great day. End of the work week, with nothing but fun potential to look forward to. Recently, however, it became just a tad bit more awesome. That’s because Friday now means new episodes of Syfy’s kickass web series, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome. Episodes 3 and 4 of the 10-part series focusing on a young William Adama (Luke Pasqualino) and the first Cylon War are now available for your viewing pleasure. Even better, the hosting folks at Machinima have stitched the two eps together so you can watch them back to back. Here’s bit of top-notch piloting and a brand-new mystery…

Is it sad that I think Blood & Chrome is the best thing Syfy has produced in ages? As much as I’m loving these new episodes, there’s still the bitter pill of knowing that these 10 episodes are it. It just rubs in the fact that the TV landscape is depressingly vacant of any real hardcore science fiction. And yeah yeah, I know David Eick says Blood & Chrome was always intended as nothing more than a web series. Even assuming I believe that, that just makes the whole situation even more depressing. Syfy’s got room on its schedule for shows about haunted tchotchkes, but no room for Blood & Chrome?

Frak me.
