Spend Your Next Dinner Party Eating Roasted Chestburster
If you’ve got a geeky circle of friends then here’s a great way to spend your next weekend: Sci-Fi dinner party. This blogger spent his birthday putting together an entire meal based on dishes he’d seen in various science fiction movies, and if you’re cool, you’re probably already interested in doing something similar.
Included in his writeup are a few ideas on how to make it all come together. Some items are pretty easy: all you really need to replicate Futurama’s Slurm is a way to turn a drink green. They did it with lots of alcohol, always a good party decision. The Klingon dish Gagh is just a bunch of noodles, though if you want to go the extra mile you’ll figure out a way to make them move. Other items seem ridiculously hard, but ultimately worth the trouble. Roast Chestburster from Alien? Standard meat but done up with an artistic flair.
See how many Sci-Fi themed dishes you can identify in the images after the jump and head over to Grumpy Frenchman for ideas on how to make your own Soylent Green.
