Giant Freakin Robot

As a classically trained geek I have no interest in the World Cup. New geeks, let’s call them the Olivia Munns, I’m sure are out there in a bar somewhere sporting a spray-on-tan and feigning interest. But if I’m going to watch sports, it had better involve robots. Luckily, the robot enthusiasts of the world are happy to oblige.

While the world’s best humans run around kicking a soccer ball, so do the world’s best robots. The Robot World Cup was recently held and won by those robot juggernauts in China. It’s soccer sci-fi geeks can believe in. Watch:
