Rebuild Star Trek: The Experience In Your Basement

star trek auctionWhen the Las Vegas Hilton shut down its Star Trek: The Experience attraction in 2008, all that furniture and Borg-themed equipment had to go somewhere. That somewhere could be your basement.

Now you could rebuild Quark’s Bar in your very own living room, thanks to an upcoming auction in which all the leftover Star Trek: The Experience bits and bobbles are being auctioned of. The rather long list of Star Trek items being auctioned off includes:

  • Wall panels (bar, rides, history of tomorrow, etc)

  • Quark’s Bar furniture (tables, chairs, stools)
  • Borg alcoves
  • Pieces from Enterprise D replica bridges, transporter room, hallways
  • Rows of seats from Klingon Encounter ride
  • Starfleet costumes
  • The really surprising thing is that most of these items are going pretty cheap. Most fall in the $50 – $500 range. Turning your house into the Enterprise bridge has never been a more attainable goal. For more details, click over to the auction’s website right here.

Star Trek: The Experience is set to re-open in Vegas’s Neonopolis some time this year, presumably with all new, completely revamped rides and decorations since you’ll have the old ones safely hidden away in your garage.
