People seem to like to get married. They keep doing it, anyway. And after all these years, it must be getting harder and harder to come up with new, inventive ways to pop the big question…you know, the one that you only ask once or so in a lifetime. There are a variety of geeky ways to ask someone to spend the rest of his or her life with you. A Visual Representation Of Star Wars Fan Enthusiasm Over The Years

Over the years, being a Star Wars fan has been a bumpy ride. For those of us who have never lived in a world without Lucas’ epic space opera, or who barely have memories of a pre-force existence, it has been more of an emotional roller coaster. For every thrilling high, there has been a dismal, sickening low. As excited as most of us are about the impending seventh, eights, and ninth episodes, at this stage of the game, we’re approaching them with a cautious, guarded optimism at best.

This fun new infographic from Dorkly takes all of the highs and lows from the past thirty-plus years, and displays them all in a visual form. It is hilarious, and just so happens to be pretty on the nose.

Zombie Paranoia Drives Record Gun Sales

Gun sales are up, and the federal government says zombies are the reason. The undead are everywhere, from hit TV shows like The Walking Dead to freakin’ Starburst commercials. Nationwide on Black Friday more than 154,000 background checks were performed, which is a record. According to Dave Workman, a representative of the 2nd Amendment Foundation, “It was the largest number of background checks in a single day.”

The Highlander Remake Needs A New Director

The search for the right director is sometimes a daunting task. No, we’re not talking about Star Wars: Episode VII, we’re talking about another remake to a different and widely popular science fiction movie franchise. Director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has officially left the production of the Highlander remake. Now Summit Entertainment is scrambling to find another director, but remember in the world of Highlander, “there can be only one.”

According to Deadline, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) left the Highlander remake because he didn’t see eye-to-eye with Summit Entertainment on the direction of the story. He had joined Highlander after leaving the production of another remake, The Crow, last year.

It’s surprising that after one year of working on a film, Summit and Fresnadillo couldn’t decide on a storyline. It’s also surprising that the studio that brought you the Twilight Saga could be so picky with its films’ narratives.
