Last summer Disney kicked off their promotion of Tron: Legacy with what will surely go down as one of the coolest events in San Diego Comic Con history. Attendees were sent on a scavenger hunt around downtown San Diego, which led them to an actual re-creation of Flynn's Arcde from the original Tron. That alone would have been cool but once inside, the wall suddenly parted to reveal an actual, life-size light cycle lit up and spinning on a pedastool in the middle of a room. Only a handful of people were there and if you're a fan of Tron you're probably still kicking yourself for not being one of them. Stop kicking, here's your chance.
Disney is taking the Tron Light Cycle display on tour. The display will travel the world, showing up in local shopping malls for you to stand in front of it in awe. Below is their video promoting the tour and showing just how they made it. And if you missed it, make sure you check out the amazing report from it's original unveiling at Comic Con last summer over on our sister site Cinema Blend.
