I love Disney’s old live action movies. Swiss Family Robinson, The Absent Minded Professor, and The Shaggy Dog are cherished parts of my childhood. Not so much though, with the original Escape to Witch Mountain. It’s an interesting idea, and the first movie is entertaining in its own way, but if you’re going to remake one of Disney’s classic, live-action properties then this is definitely the one. There’s plenty of room for improvement.
Whether it will get better or worse when retitled Race to Witch Mountain and handed over to The Rock, remains to be seen. But I have a big gallery of new images from the movie for you below, and at the least it looks good. See them all after the jump:
