Last week some great photos taken from the set of JJ Abrams’ upcoming Star Trek movie surfaced online at AICN, and vanished about five minute later after Paramount Pictures hit them with a cease and desist notice. But you can’t fight the internet, and they’ve since been picked up and plastered just about everywhere else. Paramount is still sending cease and desists, but their lawyers can’t keep up with the speed at which the world wide web happens.
So for those of you who missed them, take a minute and click over to TrekWeb, where they have the whole bunch. Included is our first look ever at the new Star Trek uniforms being used, and a lot of detailed interior and exterior shuttle craft photos.
It appears as if Abrams has gone out of his way to incorporate the old designs of the original series, but update them into a more modern look. I like them. Now if only he’d also go out of his way to actually let some of his fans have a look at what he’s up to, instead of letting Paramount send it’s junkyard dogs after anyone who gets excited about his movie. I mean that one photo we got three months ago was nice and all, but it’s long past time to throw this bunch of starving Trekkies another bone.
