shark Why Drive A Car When You Can Drive A Floating Car?While everyone else is busy working on ways to make cars roll in a way that's more fuel efficient, Audi has been busy working on ways to get rid of wheels altogether. Wired has a story on something called the Audi Shark, and the only way to really describe it is as an Imperial Speederbike given practical form.

The vehicle is a hovercraft, but one with all the safety, convenience and security of a car. Except you ride it more like a motorbike, while contained within a comfortable shell. It's only a concept car, but this could be the future given tangible form. Why roll when you can float?

See more of the Audi Shark after the jump, or over at Wired.
