Preview Of Next Week’s Walking Dead: Say The Word

Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Killer Within,” delivered a number of massive blows to the characters. We won’t get into specifics just yet, but suffice it to say that things have changed, drastically. Moving forward, nothing will ever be the same again.

With that in mind, AMC has released a clip from the fifth episode of the season, “Say the Word.” Check it out for yourself, but make sure you’ve watched “Killer Within” before you do, and before you read on.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Webseries Now Viewable In Full

Who knows if we’ll ever get to see a big-budget, live-action Halo on movie screens. It’s been in the works a few times in past years, but has always managed to collapse and settle back into development hell. Now Microsoft has taken that impressive track record to the next level with the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn web series. With a jaw-dropping $10 million budget, Forward Unto Dawn stretches across five installments. And whaddya know: we’ve got all five installments embedded below for your convenience.

Forward Unto Dawn is a prequel to the upcoming Halo 4 videogame, which hits shelves tomorrow, November 6th. It launches a planned new Halo trilogy from developers 343 Industries. If you spring for the Limited Edition of Halo 4, you’ll also get a 90-minute extended cut of the webseries, or you can wait and buy it separately on Blu-ray and DVD on December 4th. The Star Wars Universe Dream Park Teases What May Come

Way before Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm, there were already rumblings of a possible Star Wars-themed amusement park in the works. Now that Disney (and more importantly, their bank roll) owns the Star Wars franchise, a Star Wars Land at Disney World seems more likely than ever. Below is an artist rendition of what a Star Wars theme park could look like. The shocking thing about this illustration is that it was made in 2008. (Click the image for a larger version.)

Two Zombie Short Films For Your Post-Halloween Hangover

Zombie fans, is The Walking Dead TV show, comic, and video game not giving you enough zombies? Libraries of undead novels and anthologies not plentiful enough? What about the hundreds of zombie films out on DVD or playing on every other cable station? Well, here are two independently-produced short films to give your brains something to do besides look appetizing. I hate Mondays!

First up is a fast-paced mall massacre that’s short on time and long on violence. Filmmaker Devin Graham, in cooperation with WISH, created this homage to George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, presenting it in one single take, as the camera creeps around our central humans as they walk through a mall, blasting holes in all the rotting flesh they pass. It looks like a serious video game adaptation of the film, whereas Dead Rising had too much dark humor going on. Watch it below.
