Mark Wahlberg Might Wind Up In Transformers 4 After All

So, a few weeks back there was a Big Giant Rumor that Mark Wahlberg was in discussions with Michael Bay to play the lead in the new-and-improved Transformers 4. It made sense. Wahlberg is a decent box office draw, and he’s just been working with Bay on the weight-lifting flick Pain & Gain. So why not Wahlberg? That question was answered the very next day, when Bay took to his official webpage to explain that the Wahlberg rumor was just that and nothing more — rumor. He and Wahlberg had been discussing an unnamed future project, but it wasn’t Transformers. Except…now it seems that Bay may have changed his mind.

See, it appears that random “internet chatter” can make dreams come true, Charlie Brown! Here’s what Bay had to say:

I squashed a rumor that was on the internet last week. It was about Mark Walhberg. Mark was rumored to be [starring] in Transformers 4. We are working on another movie together, not T4. I had such a great time working with Mark on Pain and Gain, and he gave such a great performance – well let’s say that very internet chatter gave me some ideas. We are at the inception of our story process right now on T4. Let’s say some ideas are gaining traction with me and my writer – so I’m here to say thanks internet chatter.

Adorable Star Wars/Disney Mash-Ups

Now that Disney owns Star Wars do you think that some strange crossovers are in store for the two enterprises? Probably not, but that won’t stop people from speculating, nor will it stop people more creative than me from doing things like mashing up beloved characters from George Lucas’ space opera with those that fall under ever-expanding umbrella of the Mouse.

Robot Chicken To Devour The Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman

As creator of The Walking Dead, one of comic book writer Robert Kirkman’s calling cards is his willingness to kill off just about anyone at just about any time. He’s a modern master of the unexpected funny-book death, and will feed almost every character you ever loved to a horde of zombies or a psychotic despot. Now it turns out that Kirkman is about to feel a bit of that sting for himself.

The November 18th episode of Robot Chicken, Seth Green’s stop-motion sketch show on Adult Swim, will reportedly serve Kirkman up like a Thanksgiving turkey to a bunch of brain-dead zombies. It should be a bloody, gory, animated affair, as you can clearly see from this first photo.

Frantic New Clip From Battlestar Galactica: Blood And Chrome

Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome, the prequel to Ron Moore’s reimagined BSG series, is one of those shows that feels like it’s been almost here forever. Finally set to premiere this Friday, November 9th, as a web series, the spinoff picks up during the first Cylon war, and promises to be a more action-centric return to that galaxy than the previous attempt, Caprica.

Blood and Chrome will air on Syfy sometime in 2013, with a DVD/Blu-ray release after that if you can wait. Check out this new clip to whet your appetite (but be sure to hit mute when the annoying guy starts talking).
