They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Clichéd or not, the images below, created by artist Andrew DeGraff prove it to be true, and then some. DeGraff has taken each of the movies from the original Star Wars trilogy and recreated their story in simplified form, namely as maps. Actually, maps doesn’t really sum it up. They’re more like a bizarre, beautiful hybrid of maps and infographics. Regardless of what you want to call them, they’re friggin’ awesome. There’s a really good chance that you’ve never even heard of the movie John Dies at the End, and probably even less that you’ve read the book it’s based on. Nevertheless, John Dies has been one of my most anticipated films of 2013, largely because of my unabashed love for David Wong’s book. Now the movie has become available via iTunes and On Demand, and they’ve provided a gory new redband trailer to entice you. But in the twisted tradition of the book, this trailer doesn’t just showcase footage from the movie; it also warns that you might explode if you pirate it. Here’s the NSFW video:

Ridley Scott’s Prometheus was one of the most polarizing movies of the summer, disappointing many fans who were eager to see the director’s return to the genre of science fiction. As it turns out, iconic film director Quentin Tarantino agrees with the film’s naysayers, and as the Pulp Fiction director puts it, the movie “had some dumb stuff in it.”

While doing promotion for his latest film, Django Unchained, Tarantino appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson to talk about movies. Tarantino told Ferguson that, while making Django Unchained, he didn’t have enough time to watch new movies in the theater, but he did have an opportunity to watch Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. You can bet that if it’s on a high profile science fiction TV show (especially if it’s part of a franchise), or in a big budget sci-fi movie, someone, somewhere is working on an accompanying videogame. Just because there’s work going on, however, doesn’t mean that the game will ever see the light of day. Such is apparently the case with a game called Stargate SG-1: Alliance, a first person shooter that never made it to store shelves.

For Stargate fans wondering what the game might have looked like though, two videos have appeared online showing off the work done on the project before it’s cancellation. Check them out, they’re long enough that you get a pretty good feel for what game play would have been like.
